Only my thoughts are on the move, in
An unregulated, chaotic groove.
Time seems to be stopped, and my body rests,
I’m actively idle, just the mind races fast.
I would seem to be idle, and for a part it’s true,
And this peace is a balm, a blessed day through.
The soul picked up a rhythm and started to dance,
The gentle ticks of the keys, while idle in a poetic trance.
I would say “poet’s trance” try saying it out loud.
Cath-fellow poet.

Got it. Then suggest lose the “a” or the “in”
While idle in poetic trance
While idle -a poetic trance.
Prob is there’s one too many syllables, losing the beauty of the phrase.
Respectfully, Cath
